Steel Shot blasting is the most widely used process for cleaning, stripping, and enhancing a metal surface. The grade or size of the steel shot directly influences the final finish achieved. The spherical shape of the steel shot ensures a pristine, smooth, and polished surface through the peening action generated by the shot's acceleration. In peening applications, steel shot imparts substantial compressive strength to torque or load-bearing parts like crankshafts, engine turbine blades, and heavy-duty springs.
 

Applications:
The size of the steel shot significantly affects the outcome: smaller shot yields a smoother, more polished finish, while larger shot cleans more aggressively but results in a rougher surface. Both air-powered and wheel-blast systems can be utilized to propel the steel shot onto the target surface. Thanks to its exceptional hardness and density, steel shot can be recycled up to 3000 times before needing replacement. Additionally, as steel shot employs a non-abrasive process, it generates a minimal amount of dust during blasting, ensuring a cleaner operation.
