Raw Material Preparation:
Bauxite: Our process begins with the meticulous selection of high-quality bauxite, rich in alumina (Al2O3). This critical step ensures that only the finest bauxite, with optimal alumina content and minimal impurities, is used in our production.
Iron filings or scrap iron: Strategic incorporation of iron filings or scrap iron enhances the reduction process during the fusion stage, optimizing the overall quality of the finished product.
Anthracite coal: Employed as a potent reducing agent, anthracite coal plays a pivotal role in the transformation of raw materials into superior abrasive media.
Fusion:
Electric Arc Furnace (EAF): The well-prepared mixture is introduced into our advanced electric arc furnace. Here, electric arcs between carbon electrodes create intense heat (approximately 2000-2200°C or 3632-3992°F), essential for the fusion process.
Reduction and Fusion: Under these extreme temperatures, the alumina in bauxite melts and interacts with carbon, leading to the production of molten alumina. Impurities, including iron, are effectively reduced and segregated during this phase.
Cooling:
Cooling the Molten Alumina: The molten alumina is meticulously poured into molds or onto a cooling floor. This critical cooling phase is carefully controlled to achieve the desired crystal structure and particle size, ensuring top-notch quality.
Formation of Ingots: As cooling progresses, the material solidifies into substantial ingots or blocks of fused alumina, ready for subsequent processing.
Crushing and Grinding:
Primary Crushing: The solidified ingots undergo initial breakdown using robust jaw crushers or heavy machinery, setting the stage for further refinement.
Secondary Crushing and Grinding: Through a series of secondary crushing and grinding processes using cone crushers, roll crushers, and ball mills, the material is finely ground to achieve the precise particle size required for exceptional performance.
Magnetic Separation:
Removing Metallic Impurities: Utilizing advanced magnetic separators, we eliminate residual iron particles and other metallic impurities, ensuring the purity of the final product.
Sieving and Classification:
Particle Size Distribution: By employing sophisticated vibrating screens and air classifiers, the crushed and purified alumina is meticulously sorted into various grades, each defined by its precise particle size distribution.
Quality Control: Each meticulously crafted batch undergoes rigorous testing to verify chemical composition, particle size distribution, and adherence to stringent quality standards, guaranteeing a product that meets and exceeds industry expectations.
